Last Call: Rose City Kings at Highway 99 Blues Club

  • Highway 99 Blues Club 1414 Alaskan Way Seattle, WA, 98101 United States (map)

Our friend and recent guest artist, Dan Berkery of the Rose City Kings, is returning to the Highway 99 Blues Club for one last engagement on Saturday, November 7th. Dan and the Kings are in party mode, celebrating their 10-year relationship with this iconic blues club as it prepares to close its Alaskan Way location. They’ll celebrate the many memorable moments from the past while looking forward to the future of both Highway 99 and the Rose City Kings. Indeed, Rose City Kings continues to roll out new music for its fans enjoyment. Fans will also hear their favorites, such as Cool Baby and Biscuits ‘n Gravy

While firmly rooted in the Blues from the Mississippi delta to Chicago, Rose City Kings’ music incorporates the modern sensibilities of rock and even touches swing at times. The band, which features original music, is led by the guitar playing and preacher-like soulful voice of Dan Berkery (aka Kolvane). Add to the mixture, the piano of Louisiana native Steve Kerin, which transports the audience to a dance party on the Bayou. Rose City Kings’ performances are lively and energetic, and have been responsible for a large amount of voluntary exercise on the dance floor. If you haven’t experienced a Rose City Kings show, then you’ve seen nothing like it.

Admission: Delta, Left & Right, Dance Floor, & Piano Room tickets are $15. VIP Middle tickets are $25.
